Hello 〰️ Howdy 〰️ Xin Chào 〰️

I'm Tracy, a product designer, nail artist, and pickleball fanatic.

My name’s Tracy Đỗ and I’m an innovation strategist with a passion for innovative and playful design. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and currently live in Chicago. I am currently at Northwestern University earning my M.S. in Engineering Design Innovation and previously attended Stanford University where I earned my B.S in Product Design Engineering.

I first became interested in design in high school when my cousin brought me a Gudetama keychain from her trip to Japan. I was fascinated by how Gudetama would always stay upright no matter how I turned the keychain.

My design interest leans toward design strategy and innovation. However, staying true to my design roots, I will always have a special place for toy/play design, and am always looking for new products to exercise my inner-child.

Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance

I worked closely with David Kelley to design the methodology to determine the winner of the Center for Automotive Research at Stanford Award. The methodology took into consideration historical significance of the car and preservation methods. I had the opportunity to attend the Concours at Pebble Beach and was on the voting committee!

Our winner, the 1928 Mercedes Benz 710 SSK Sport Two Seater owned by John Houlihan of Ireland.

The 1996 McLaren F1 LM Coupe raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans!

Creosphere

Creosphere is an immersive, interactive projection art experience. Using Touchdesigner and XBox Kinect sensors, I created an interactive experience that captures attendees’ motions and projects it onto the inside of a dome in real time.

Two patrons using the interactive projection.

We set up in the middle of Stanford's campus!
